Adirondack Cabin, 1992 SOLD
This was my first attempt at building a log dollhouse from a kit. by RGT. It was a very laborious task, aligning the logs as one would probably do in the construction of an actual real-sized log home.
The twig settee with the raccoon on the right side of the porch is a Christmas ornament.
I added a stone foundation and fireplace (real stones) to this house. I left off the shutters and white trim as I wanted a more rustic style. The wheelbarrow on the front porch is a one-fo-a-kind which I bought in Jonesboro, TN.
The 2nd floor contains a master bedroom and bath. The lower floor has a kitchen, eating, and seating areas. The stone wall was made from real stone, so even though this house is small, it is very heavy! There was no staircase placed inside this house. Since the living area is so limited, the staircase would take up too much space. Just image that the staircase is in the cut away area!
The table is by Concord.
The couch is a re-upholstered Shackman piece. The chair beside the fireplace is by Take-a-Seat. The fireplace was covered with actual stones as is the wall behind it. The rug is a mouse pad.
The bedroom set is by Concord. The chair is another Take-a-Seat piece.
