Shenandoah Dollhouse, 1993
This was the second (and last) log home that I constructed. It was constructed from a Duracraft kit that is no longer produced, although it can be still be located online. I just couldn't resist it's style!
I added a real stone foundation, chimney and front steps.
Interior View
I made the tea set, pottery, and the accessories from Sculpty. The guitar is a refrigerator magnet. The rug is a placemat. I recovered the Shackman chairs. The tables are by Concord. I made the tree trunk umbrella stand in a raku pottery class.
The kitchen fixtures were made from a kit and painted to match the decor. I made two Sculpty cookie jars: the little guy in the sombrero on the left and the cactus on the ice closet. A missionary friend brought me the walnut basket found on the ice closet on the right from South America.
The television set is an antique salt and pepper shaker set. I built the log cabin from a kit given to me by a dear friend.
The bed is made from ceiling tiles. I painted the chest at the end of the bed.
I made the bathroom set from a kit.
