Half Scale Eastside Townhouse
The Eastside Townhouse was created from an RGT kit. I covered the exterior with Paperclay, which creates a nice stone-like finish when it air dries. The image above is the Real Good Toy prototype. The image below is my version of the house.
I used masking tape and copper paint to create copper flashing on the roof eaves.
This is a very well-designed kit.
I decided to stonework the complete exterior, steps, and the chimney.
There's a little key hidden over the door.
Parlor
The table is a Tootsietoy piece.
Second Floor Landing
Nursery
The bird cage came without a bird, and had no door! I managed to remove the bottom, make a bird of clay, and glue it on the swing.
Third Floor Landing
The wire wicker furniture was originally white. I painted and stained it to fit the room.
I refinished the furniture in the library to match the Bespaq pecan table and the wall paneling. The chairs and bookcases originally had a red finish. I painted them with a very light brown Acrylic paint, then covered them with Wood Stain Gel from Americana. I thought I was going blind, making that rug! The gramophone is by Tootsietoy.
