Half Scale Lighthouse
The "sand" base was made from pressing Paperclay on a 1/2" thick piece of plywood. After it dried, the area was then painted in shades of brown and a sidewalk was formed in the clay. The final part was spraying the base with Desert Bisque Textured Spray Paint, then the lighthouse, keepers house, anchor, shells and rocks were glued onto the base.
The lighthouse came with two blubs, one flashes on and off and the other is a constant light.
The lighthouse interior has four rooms and an attic.
The top floor has a bathroom hidden behind the door.
No lighthouse is complete without a fishing rod.
The bed covering in the bedroom is cross-stitched.
Accessories will be added to each room, including this kitchen.
This breezeway connects the lighthouse and the keeper's house. The oars outside seemed a bit large, but upon measuring them, I found they were exactly half scale.
The parlor accessories are still in progress.
The wooden roof in the attic is made from parts of a bamboo placemat.
