The San Franciscan House
The San Franciscan House was made from a Duracraft kit. These dollhouses are constructed by sliding the walls in the grooves in the corner trim pieces, a very tricky procedure, as the corner trim pieces are prone to split. The windows must all be constructed and due to its assembly, these houses are very difficult to kitbash.
I imagine this house is occupied by an Asian family living in the China Town section of San Francisco.
The house is chocked full of touches that represent the Asian theme.
All wallpapers in this house are real-sized papers found at a salvage stores. The rugs are cut from a placemat. The windows in this house were painted to resemble stained glass.
Breakfast Nook
The "Three Little Maids" and many of the decorative pieces were made from Sculpty.
There are two antique Asian bisque dolls in this room. One is holding a stamp collection, a huge hobby in China.
Like the furniture in the parlor, this small dining room set has inlaid pearl. It was bought for me in China by a missionary friend. I build this entire house around this set!
Bathroom
I painted the furniture in the bedroom and cross-stitched the rug to fit the theme.
