Land's End Lighthouse, 2002 SOLD
This RTG kit wasn't easy build, but it was really fun to decorate. It measures 19 1/2 "W x 19 1/2"D x 43"H. It accepts a 15 watt candelabra bulb in a glass prism light fixture which plugs directly into a standard wall outlet.
I finally finished the stone foundation.
The whole time I was building this, I kept my eye out for miniature nautical items. I found this figure at an antique store. It was marked made in Norway. It is carved from one piece of wood and seems to fit this scene perfectly!
This lighthouse is over the top with the nautical theme!
The lighthouses on the stairway came from wine glass charms.
The furniture is from Concord's Liberty Bay collection.
The pink flamingo is a cake decoration.
The lamps are filled with little shells I found at the beach. The lamp shades are made from cupcake lining papers. The flooring is made from regular vinyl tiles.
The fish tank was made from a plastic container. I found the fish in the craft section at Wal-mart
The clock is part of the Concord set.
I redressed the bed and added the ship steering wheel in the top floor bedroom. The mirror was also handmade. The scuba helmet came from a key chain. The net is a piece of nylon tulle and I found the tiny starfish at the beach.
The pantry appliances came from the Dollar Store.
The 2nd floor kitchen furniture was purchased from Hobby Buildersand the seats were recovered. I divided this room with a wall to add a bathroom which is behind that door.
The bath tub was decorated with shells and the bathroom shelf is a boat.
After years of procrastination, I finally added stone to the lighthouse foundation.
